Key Personnel
Eric Davies
Eric holds a B.A. (Hons) in Business Studies, a Master of Philosophy (title of the thesis ‘Relationship between Marketing Strategy and Company Performance’) and the Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Member of the Institute of Management Consultancy. He is also a registered consultant with the
CIM’s consultants register.
Following his first degree, he joined the British Steel Corp., and then moved to the construction industry where he held the post of Group Marketing Director with a specialist UK sub-contractor group. In 1983, he set up SRD Consultants to provide marketing research and marketing/corporate planning services. In 2000 he joined the Ontrac Group as Director of Strategy & Research.
Clients have included 3 M’s, BT, British Steel Industry, Capita Group, Cargill Financial Markets, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Chartered Management Institute, Haden Young Ltd., Harding Evans (Solicitors), Hugh James (Solicitors), RAC, Rotork Engineering, Saunders Valve, National Trust (Wales), Telecommunications Industry Association, Thames Case, The Rosenberg Group, Unisys, Vector International, Welsh Development Agency (FD, EAP, IAP, etc), Welsh Assembly Government (DEIN, Business Eye, DELLS), Wessex Water and many more.
Eric has contributed articles to a number of journals including the European Journal of Marketing, The Pakistan Management Review, Management Consultancy, Accountancy, The Municipal Journal and others. He is also lead author of Marketing in a Week, published by Hodder and Stoughton, which is in its 4th. UK edition and has been translated into eight other languages.

Arwyn Williams
Arwyn holds a BSc Econ and an MBA (Marketing) from Queensland University, Australia. He has a broad range of experience and practical skills developed over significant periods with several blue chip companies including Lucas Varity and Sony.
Following his MBA he returned to Wales and joined the Ontrac group as Account Manager. Projects he led included a branding study for a major regeneration project in South West Wales, a major multimedia exhibition in Cardiff for the Welsh Development Agency and a destination marketing campaign for North Wales Tourism Partnership.
He then joined Venture Wales as Marketing Manager responsible for designing and implementing major business development campaigns.
He currently consults and advises businesses on their marketing requirements. Through his experience and contacts in the marketing industry, he is also able to assist on a practical level during the implementation stage. He also delivers training seminars on developing marketing strategies and personal selling across a wide range of target audiences. His clients include new business starts as well as existing businesses, varying in size and turnover across a broad range of industry sectors.
Born and raised in North Wales, Arwyn is a fluent Welsh speaker. As a result, he understands the bilingual market within Wales as well as the social and political dynamics present across the country.
